Fundraising
Kilauea Ohana Playschool is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization operated by a board of parent volunteers that changes almost yearly as families outgrow the program. We strive to keep our tuition affordable, especially since more volunteer involvement is often required from members to keep the organization running. Our only paid employees are our teachers, and we offer a very competitive rate to employ the best for our keiki. Our other main expenses are rent and insurance. With these expenses and our commitment to keeping our class sizes small, we experience slight deficit every month. We appreciate every bit of support from our community. Our donations are considered tax-deductible, and you will be emailed a receipt after donating. Thank you for considering donating to help our keiki flourish!

Future Programs

KOP is continually seeking opportunities to grow and meet the needs of the community.
Over the years, numerous members have shared valuable ideas and feedback that have aided in the ongoing expansion and improvement of our program.
Recently, we have broadened our regular classes to include children aged 6, catering to those on a homeschool pathway.
Additionally, we are launching a new Hawaiian Studies program for 6-8 year olds, designed mainly to introduce homeschooled children to the rich culture and history of Hawaii.
